This new book is a part of a new series by Julie Cross. It sounds GREAT! Not only does it sound very fun because of the synopsis (read below), but it also sounds read-worthy because the movie rights have already been sold. Read below...
"A success in the making: Pre-empted by Summit Entertainment (producers of Twilight) for feature film, with foreign rights sold in more than a dozen countries, Tempest, on sale January 17, is the first book in the buzzed about Tempest series by Julie Cross.
Synopsis:
The year is 2009. Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy... he's in college, has a girlfriend... and he can travel back through time. But it's not like the movies -- nothing changes in the present after his jumps-- it's just harmless fun.
That is... until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he's stuck in 2007 and can't get back to the future. Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities."

4 Pages Flipped:
sounds kind of good - I'd be a little hesitant to read it because it's kind of like time travellers wife in concept, but I'm sure the story is VERY different.. I may give it a read should I see it in a book shop near me :)
ooo... It also sounds pretty swell to me! I like time traveling as a narrative / plot device, and I actually wish more movies would use it. Back to the Future is awesome, and I feel like I could watch 1,000 different clones of it, but no one has really tried.
Scumbag Sam:
Ah, so true, but hopefully it's unique enough and it sure looks like it.
Steve G:
I LOVE the entire concept of Back to the Future! Okay, I love everything about it and also wish people tried to come out w/ more stuff like it.
