Soundtrack: 16 Wishes (Disney Original Movie [yeah those sucky ones they have])

16 Wishes Soundtrack
<--oh that is such a crappy cover!
Okay first off, I have to say. I hate all "original" disney movies because they are not "original" at all. They just suck, are predictable, eek I avoid them. When I can. I'm a born babysitter. Tons of younger cousins need to be babysat and I'm the one who's stuck with them. I don't mind because I love kids and they love me ("who's your favorite cousin?"-person A "Lisette! -younger cousin"). Good practice for when I become a teacher. Yup that's what I'm doing with  my life. Did you know you get discounts at bookstores for being a teacher? No, that's not why I'm doing it, but great perk huh? Back to the kiddoes. All kids have been brainwashed to only watch Disney channel so there. That's what I'm stuck watching most of the time.

Anyway.

I LOVE the Minnutes ever since that Target commercial song of theirs came out. I recognized their lovely song Princess Girl in the 16 Wishes movie so I had to look up the rest of the soundtrack. It's actually pretty cute and so is the movie, especially the ah-do-rable guy who plays Jay, Jean-Luc Bilodeau (remember him from Kyle XY and that CRAZY scary movie Trick 'r Treat?).

Here's the track list:

1. A Wish Comes True Every Day – Debby Ryan
2. Nos One Fool – Keith & Renee  --couldn't find it sorry, but you can hear a sample here.
3. Princess Girl – Minnutes   again, couldn't find it. hear a sample on iLike. I have the album so I've heard the whole thing and it's awesome and so catchy!
4. Bad Momma – Chad Gendason
5. Saying Goodbye – Chase Ryan, Michale Popp & Aaron Harvey
6. Picture Perfect – Jennifer Catheart --sample on amazon.
7. The Way It Used To Be – Not By Choice
8. Vertigo – Willknots
9. Overaction – Chad Gendason
10. Open Eyes – Debby Ryan & Chase Ryan  <--oooh cute.
11. Don’t Wanna Grow Up – Willknots

Each song I found links you to the youtube video of it so you can listen to it.

I only liked the Minnutes song and the Open Eyes one but you might like others. :)

Movie Review: Despicable Me

Despicable Me Movie (Minions) Poster Print - 24x36
Rating: 5/5; Adored it. Add-it-to-your-collection worthy. Very worthy.

Release Date: July 9, 2010

Synopsis:
This tale is about a villain who wants to be the best. What's more evil than stealing the moon? This poor guy ends up having to deal with something very, very scary: 3 little girls.

Sequel: Yes! In 2013.

Thoughts:
One of the best family movies I've ever seen. I can't wait to watch it again and in 3D this time. The characters are just too freakin' adorable! I loved VECTOR/Jason Segel (I have a huge crush on the Marshmallow by the way ever since Freaks and Geeks), Steve Carrell, and of course the little girls especially the youngest, Agnes. She's probably like 4 so she reminds me a LOT of my cousin Gabbers who's just as silly/funny/adorable.
Honestly I was a bit hesitant about yet another CGI movie especially since it's from the creators of the Ice Age movies which I think suck. I can't believe how wrong I was. Well, now I can believe it. I loved it to death and I can't wait to watch it again! It will make you laugh out loud so many times you will seriously lose count. That is all I will say, don't want to spoil it for ya'll. Just know, you'll love it.
Just watch it when it comes out okay! July 9th folks, July 9th!!

Trailer:

Now this one includes my favorite scene:

"He's so fluffy I'm gonna die!"

One more thing.

The minions are awesome!! Watch out for the glow in the dark scene. My favorite minion scene.

I also leave you with the adorableness that is Jason Segel.

Remember?: The Big Comfy Couch

Gosh, I used to LOVE the comfy couch! I catch some reruns super early in the morning sometimes. Really brings back childhood memories. I used to watch it all the freakin' time. My favorite part was when the used to go under the huge comfy couch and find stuff down there. It was like a whole wonderland. I really really longed for a magical-like sofa like that you have no idea. The closest I've been to a overly large piece of furniture is the ones in Gallery Furniture (I think that's the name). They have some giant furniture just for fun. It's really cool.

To be honest with ya'll, I used to think Loonette the Clown's doll was her little sister. I have NO idea why I thought that. It made me think it was really freaky (in a creepy way) that a doll, a non-human being, was a girl's sister.

Did you guys watch this? Or am I the only U.S person who used to watch this apparently Canadian show?

Book Review: When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead

When You Reach MeRating: 5/5; A favorite. Will re-read many times throughout my life especially when I need a reminder concerning friendship (read on to find out what I mean).

Release Date: July 14, 2009

Synopsis:
I am coming to save your friend’s life, and my own.
I must ask two favors. First, you must write me a letter.

Miranda and Sal are the best of buds until one day he starts to avoid her after being punched for seemingly no reason. Around that time Miranda begins to get letters from someone. They are so strange and seem to know things about her and things that will happen before they happen. What the heck is going on?! You and I, my friend, must find out and boy will we like the journey.

Thoughts:
Dang! Rebecca Stead knows how to tell a story! Her characters are unforgettable, they are hilarious, they break your heart slightly, they make you want to hug your friends, and so much more. The story pulls you in and you won't be let go until you reach the last page. hehe I said reach ;) Anyway. This is sincerely one of the best books in the whole wide world in my opinion. No I have not read every book in the whole wide world but I know that I love this book. I'm sure you will love it too. It's just too heartwarming how could you not you cold bastard?! I shouldn't make assumptions that ya'll won't like it, because of course you will. :) Yes I am crazy, but only slightly. You know you're curious though right? I mean, this book has it all. Science fiction, realistic fiction, great characters, and indescribably amazing writing (I guess that's descriptive). It will surprise you. My only complaint is how short it was. It was just enough though when I really think about it.
What I liked most about this book was how much it made me appreciate my friends. It really makes you think about the special people in your life. It also managed to somehow make me feel like a child again. I have no idea how. One particular flashback Miranda has about sleep overs with Sal (the thought of those sheets squeeze my heart) really takes me back to being a kid. It also makes me want to be a kid again. I don't know how else to express how much I adored this book. All I know is I am going to slowly but surely try to get it on peoples' shelves.
Pick this one up next time you see it.

The Rise of Renegade X by Chelsea M. Campbell
The Rise of Renegade X
Sixteen-year-old Damien Locke has a plan: major in messing with people at the local supervillain university and become a professional evil genius, just like his supervillain mom. But when he discovers the shameful secret she's been hiding all these years, that the one-night stand that spawned him was actually with a superhero, everything gets messed up. His father's too moral for his own good, so when he finds out Damien exists, he actually wants him to come live with him and his goody-goody superhero family. Damien gets shipped off to stay with them in their suburban hellhole, and he has only six weeks to prove he's not a hero in any way, or else he's stuck living with them for the rest of his life, or until he turns eighteen, whichever comes first.

To get out of this mess, Damien has to survive his dad's "flying lessons" that involve throwing him off the tallest building in the city—despite his nearly debilitating fear of heights—thwarting the eccentric teen scientist who insists she's his sidekick, and keeping his supervillain girlfriend from finding out the truth. But when Damien uncovers a dastardly plot to turn all the superheroes into mindless zombie slaves, a plan hatched by his own mom, he discovers he cares about his new family more than he thought. Now he has to choose: go back to his life of villainy and let his family become zombies, or stand up to his mom and become a real hero.

I love superheroes so I'm very excited to read this one. I've only heard great things.

Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel - Thanks publishers!
Infinite Days (Vampire Queen)
I release you, Lenah Beaudonte.
Believe...and be free.
Those were the last words I could remember. When I awoke, I immediately felt a cold surface on my left cheek. An icy shiver rushed down my spine. "Rhode!" I screamed. He had to be here. There would be no world without Rhode. A door somewhere near me opened and closed. Rhode loomed over me but he was a blur. Even in the haze of that moment his icy-blue eyes pierced me, down to my soul.

After centuries of terrorizing Europe, Lenah Beudonte, with the help of the handsome Rhode, has been able to realize the dream of all vampires - to be human again. Now, as a raven-haired, sixteen-year-old, Lenah believes her greatest challenge is fitting in at her new school. But the challenges have only begun. The vicious coven Lenah once ruled is threatening the newfound pleasures of her human life, including the one guy who makes her feel most alive, Justin. Can this ex-vamp survive in an alien time and place or will her past come back to haunt her...forever?

Gosh, this book sounds incredible! Apparently the first in a series so I'm excited! I wish I could begin reading it but right now I must try and put all my attention towards studying for my final this coming Tuesday. I'm nervous.

The video is kind of uh... odd. I remember back when Korean videos weren't so sexed up (or at all really). Ah, America is such a bad influence.

Waiting on Wednesday: Bruiser by

Bruiser
RD: July 1, 2010

Um, how could I not want to read this book?

TENNYSON:
Don’t get me started on The Bruiser. He was voted “Most Likely to Get the Death Penalty” by the entire school. He’s the kid no one knows, no one talks to, and everyone hears disturbing rumors about. So why is my sister, Brontë dating him? One of these days she’s going to take in the wrong stray dog, and it’s not going to end well.

BRONTË:
My brother has no right to talk about Brewster that way – no right to threaten him. There’s a reason why Brewster can’t have friends – why he can’t care about too many people. Because when he cares about you, things start to happen. Impossible things that can’t be explained. I know, because they’re happening to me.

BREWSTER:
Stealer of screams and thief of anguish, I am a criminal, but you can’t see it, blinded by your own relief as my body becomes a battlefield in a war that can’t be won. Will I be the bullet that ends your pain, or will you end mine?

Award-winning author Neal Shusterman has crafted a chilling and unforgettable novel about the power of unconditional friendship, the complex gear work of a family, and the sacrifices we endure for the people we love.

Dang it!! I'm really liking the soundtrack!! Not as incredible as the New Moon soundtrack though. The first one totally sucked. I am not a fan of the "movies" (those are not to be called movies) even though Eclipse seems entertaining, but I LOVE the soundtracks! They're sooo good and they have tons of my favorite artists.

In this one I already loved:
Sia
Vampire Weekend
Metric (listen to their awesome song Twilight Gallaxy)
Beck
The Bravery
Muse (grr I need to post pics of their two concerts I went to recently sorry!)

Artists I'm new to and am loving:
Fanfarlo
Eastern Conference Champions
Band of Horses
Cee Lo Green (heard them perform on Jimmy Fallon the other night, they're awesome!)
Mimi

Question:
Do you guys like the songs in this? Are any of the artists new (you love them) or old (you've been loving them so you're really excited) to you?
