Okay okay I know, I'm supposed to be doing my History homework. I just couldn't help but keep looking online for something for one of my friend's who's birthday is next Thursday. I still can't find something awesome! :'( I really love looking for unique presents on Etsy because well, they'e so unique! You'd be surprised at what you can find.

I also like other online stores. There are lots and lots of them I could spend days just surfing through their Catalogues (sigh) and especially the sale/discounted items. I love those. There are just too many great deals out there folks. Too many ;}

Okay I'm off now. Seriously.

Websites

Ah! I should really be doing my reading for my History class tomorrow. I like that class. I think it's my favorite so far even though I don't really like it like it. I loved my old psychology class the most. I'm practically going through withdrawal symptoms. :'(

So. Websites.

Aren't they great? They're just SO many of them out there that they even have things for the websites (like web site hosting, layouts, reviews of websites, and all these other services). It's insane. I remember not too long ago someone said how eventually there won't be space on the internet. That scared me.

I got to thinking about this because I was looking at my google reader and there's just so much on there! I just look at tons and tons of blogs (mostly book and tv show related) that it's hard to keep track. Thousands of them are just too good I have to keep them on my reader.

Ah, I love websites. What would we do without them? They're like our on subscriptions to magazines except they range from all kinds of topics and they're free! hehe ;)

Okay that History homework won't stop fudging calling to me.

Adios. Be sure to come back tomorrow for a wee little surprise (not much of a surprise since a lot of people are doing it but hey it increases your chances *hint hint*). :}

Anime

Gosh I have not watched anime in over a year. This is really bad because I LOVE it! It has this whole atmosphere to it that I'm just in love with. Yeah, I'm a dork like that.

Some that I've seen and loved are (keep in mind that I am a t.v addict after all):

Witch Hunter Robin
Cowboy Bebop
Trigun
Fruits Basket (has that aired in the U.S yet?)
Inuyasha
Fullmetal Alchemist
Eureka Seven
One Piece
Detective Conan/Case Closed
Ouran High School Host Club (again, has this aired in the U.S yet?)
Bleach ---I got tired of this one so I stopped watching it
Naruto--ditto but boy was the premise ingenious
Gunslinger Girl
Blood+
Air
Vampire Knight --that's the most recent one I saw

yeah and that's just some of them ;)

Any recommendations? I haven't seen any of the latest anime so ... help? Please?

By the way there's this really cool site called Asia Animax that's all about anime. Oh and they have a Muse competition!!! You can win tickets to see and meet them at Singapore!!! I'm gonna be so jealous of the winner! Only open to Singapore folks so I cannot enter. If you live in Singapore YOU BETTER FREAKIN' ENTER!!!!
You can find more about the site on Wikipedia <--leads you to the article. It's a television network that's fully dedicated to bringing viewers anime. Unfreakin'fortunately it's not available in the U.S yet. Grrrr. It's owned by Sony so they better freakin' bring it! ;}

You can legally watch anime online (the latest eps only though) of:
Bleach
Wipe Out---have you seen this show?!! It's SOOOO FUNNY!! It's kind of like Fear Factor where folks have to go through insane obstacles. I love it! I haven't seen it in a while though.

The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg

Rating: 4/5 - Really liked it. Maybe not re-readable, but still entertaining.

Age R: PG-13

Release Date: December 29, 2009

Excerpt.

Synopsis:
I, Penny Lane Bloom, do solemnly swear to never date another boy for as long as I shall live. All right, maybe I’ll reconsider it in ten years or so when I’m no longer living in Parkview, Illinois, or attending McKinley High School, but for now I’m done with guys.
They’re all lying, cheating scum of the earth.Yes, every last one of them. Pure evil.
Sure, there are some that seem nice, but the second they get what they want, they’ll dump you and move onto their next target.
So I’m done.
No more dating.
The end.

Thoughts:
Liked the jokes. Liked the characters. Loved the cuteness. Extra points for the club idea.
This book is basically about an awesome club plus your typical boy likes girl, girl likes boy, but obstacles get in the way kind of story (well, in this one it's more like boy's been knowing girl). Even though I've seen this storyline done more times than I can count I still liked reading the book because a) it was a quick light read and b) it is pretty cute.
I liked how Elizabeth Eulberg created this headstrong girl with an awesome idea to make a LHC focused on friendship coming before any boy who might want a girl to change for him. This book's mostly full of girl power and it's great to read about especially when a bunch of YA books (+ real life situations) have all these chicks that get mistreated and/or change for a guy.
Now, I did really enjoy reading this book, but for me it's more of a one time thing. It's not so incredible that I find myself thinking about re-reading it. That's probably because of the storyline. Unless that storyline includes some extremely unique things then it's hard for me to love it especially when it's pretty darn predictable. I don't like predictable. Still I couldn't help but enjoy reading it. This is one of those cute books to read when you want to be entertained and maybe even when you need a pick me up after a break up.

Quotes:
When we do find someone we think is special, we forget about our friends. Why do we do this? Why do we bother?

Crap. I had completely forgotten that my first class was ---- with ----. Crap.
Or, more appropriately, caca.

part of the LHC rules-
4) Members must be supportive of their friends, despite bad choices in clothing, hair, and/or music.
Violators of the rules are subject to membership disqualification, public humiliation, vicious rumors, and possible beheading.
Note:
It really annoyed me that in this part of the book where an 8 yr old is mentioned, the author makes her sound younger. What 8 yr old do you know that hugs teddy bears and her brother's leg? I don't know any and I know quite a few 8 yr olds and was one myself. I can understand the bear thing I guess, but the leg hugging? She's too old for that. I don't think an 8 yr old would do that especially when the brother is a 16 yr old. If they're of average height, they're just too tall. I'm silly. Ignore me.

Concerts and Events

Did I mention I'm going to see Muse on March 18th? Well, I am ;}

They're so cute and so talented. Sigh. Heavy, heavy sigh. :)

I can't wait!!!! I saw them not too long ago in October. I need to put some cash on the side so I can get another t-shirt. I'm such a dork. I always feel compelled (like many others) to buy a t-shirt at every concert I go to. It's a bad habit because first off, it's REALLY expensive (at least more so than any regular t-shirt or any concert tees on ebay) and second, because I could use that money for tuition. Ay, I do the craziest things with money. Can't help it. *shrug*

Anywhosh (that's how my boss says it hehe), I was looking at other concerts at this site called A Cheap Seat. Have any of you bought tickets from them? Curious is all.

They have tickets for a LOT of stuff just like all the major ticket sellers.

There's:

Taylor Swift (she's coming to Houston! I don't love her enough to go though sorry) -she's not just touring there
Long Beach Arena (vender in Long Beach, CA)
Mall of America ---they have tickets to Twinsfest. What is that?! Is that a festival for twins?
Jeff Dunham --he's going all over the place

Okay they have a LOT haha :) Oh, they also have tickets for sports and other events like for Wicked and such. I like how they let you search for events just by putting your zip code. That helps. A lot.

The folks I REALLY want to see (some aren't touring and if they are not in freakin' HOUSTON!)are:

Keane ---god, I love them so much! They're my favorite band and the bastards never come here :( One day, one day! I. Will. See. Them!
A Fine Frenzy --I love this band too! The chick's voice is so pretty and her lyrics are awesome. The beat to her music is great too.
Tegan and Sara --they're coming to Houston next month! I really want to see them but I should not spend more money on concerts (unless it's Keane hehe)
Imogen Heap
Ingrid Michaelson
Greg Laswell
Pete Yorn --he came here but I was especially broke then :'(
Erin McCarley --I love her music now (check out previous post for a free song of hers!)
Sia----ahhh!! I love Sia!
Radiohead --sigh :)
Belanova
Cafe Tacuva
Sin Bandera----ahhh I love them so much! Been a fan since I was about 7 yrs old hehe

Okay the list goes on. :D

{Book Review} The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting

Rating: 3.7/5

Release Date: March 16, 2010

Synopsis:
A serial killer on the loose.

A girl with a morbid ability.

And the boy who would never let anything happen to her.

Thoughts:
I adored how this book at times managed to give me that giggly fan girl feeling. You know the one. :) I also really liked the fact that a serial killer is in the story. I'm sorry, I can't help but be fascinated by serial killers and things having to do with serial killers like Dexter (TV show), Criminal Minds (TV show), Heroes' (TV show) Sylar, anti social personality disorders, and so many more things like that ;)
The story itself was pretty darn entertaining but too many times it failed to keep me interested. Oh I was glued to the pages for a good portion of the story but at the same time the whole book was kind of just okay. It was not that amazing. The characters were somewhat enjoyable but they seemed so cookie cutter-like and the romance just like many other YA book's guy girl relationships. The romance was kind of quick and just not very unique. I love unique remember? The suspense is what mainly keeps you glued to the book and boy is it fun for a while!
Like I said, the book was just okay but if anything I recommend just checking it out of your local library. You never know, you might enjoy it way more than me. It was pretty cute after all.

You'll like it if you are interested in:

Silly Cars

Okay I need to work really really really hard! My sister and I are currently sharing the above car. No that's not an actual picture of our car. I found that pic through google. It is the car we have though, and it's in the same color. Anyway, it's so messed up! Today I was driving home from work and the lights suck. I can barely see in the dark because they are just so low. Sometime in December I was driving at night and I forgot to turn the lights on (you can hardly tell the difference) and a cop had to tell me "Ma'am turn on your lights." I was mortified of course. You have no idea. I'm so lucky they didn't give me a ticket though. That would have been awful because I cannot afford to pay a $200+ ticket or however much they charge. Another embarassing problem with it is that it makes this LOUD screeching noise whenever we turn on the heater or a/c. It's extremely mortifying because every car within a 20 ft radios (approximately) can be seen looking around for who's making the noise. I especially hate it when it makes that noise when I turn it on in the parking lot at school, it freakin' echoes of the walls *blush*. I almost feel like Bella in the Twilight book, except I think she got over it fast and her car must have sounded much worse. When I was reading it I thought, "Oh please, that's nothing." Then it happened to me and well...yeah it's embarassing.
So basically I could use a new car.
I need to save a LOT.
Why are cars so expensive?
I remember back in the good ol' days they were so cheap. So I've read anyway since I have only been living for almost 19 yrs (next month's my bd!). Ehem, yeah. :)

Just complaining.

V-Day + Favorite Cho-co-lat + future giveaway

Yep it's almost V-day! After that it's my birthday so I'm gonna try super hard to thank my followers/readers/lurkers by having a giveaway! :) I'm so indecisive about what to giveaway. Definitely book related. Maybe some chocolates. ;) In the mean time you may notice how I'm trying to earn some extra cash with ads to afford s/h fees and buying books. My work money is ALL going towards paying my tuition. It's becoming kind of too much so I might move to a less expensive school this year. I don't want to, but I don't mind that much. :)
Anywho, back to V-day.

What is your favorite chocolate?!
I like pronouncing it cho-co-lat hehe

I don't have an absolute favorite but some of them are:

-Ghirardelli
-Lyndt
-the above chocolate (pic from Flicker I'm to lazy to take pics of mine hehe) from Holland (the ones I ate are SO good, but I have no idea what they're called)
