Based on:
Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O'Malley
Why I Watched It:
Had the chance to see an early screening
Loved Shaun of the Dead
Fan of Nelson Franklin (hello "IT" guy from The Office), Erik Knudsen (Jericho, Saw II), Kieran Culkin (Igby Goes Down), and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Death Proof, Final Destination 3, Sky High)
Uh, have you seen the trailer?!
Synopsis:
In Toronto, 23-year-old Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) is the bass guitarist for the band Sex Bob-omb and has just met the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Scott learns that he must battle Ramona's seven evil exes, who are coming to kill him, to finally win Ramona's heart. As Scott gets closer to Ramona, his encounters include skateboarders, vegan rock stars, and identical twins. To stay with Ramona, Scott must vanquish all of the seven evil exes before they defeat him.

Thoughts:
Wow. Very very awesome. Way more awesome than I expected it to be. To be honest I hate Michael Cera. At first I found him charming and yes, I do like the movies he is in, but I always hate him. Maybe he's not a bad actor, I wouldn't know since he's always the SAME person in everything, but either way I'm not a fan. For that reason I was somewhat hesitant about this movie. I didn't let that get too much in the way and I'm glad because this movie is so freaking fun and oh so darn hilarious!
Watch it. Just do it. There really isn't too much I can say about this movie. I loved it, I will watch it again, I will buy it on blu-ray, it made me laugh constantly, I loved the dialogue so much it hurts, I want to dye my hair green even more now (HA! loved the "he literally slapped the highlights out of her hair!" bit plus the visuals showing that had actually happened), and I really really want to play that ninja game Scott and Knives were playing. Don't expect the love story to be fully developed, but do expect to have a blast when watching this movie.
Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is really good.

I want to see this really badly, but I almost have to stop watching TV to properly experience it :/ I almost feel like the trailers are giving too much away. Like the fact that one of the ex'es is a lady!
The comic book series are waaaaaaaa...(a to the nth power)y better. the love relationship is better developed, the dialogue of many things are more hilarious and there is no Michael Cera in it!
