Question: Any horror movie recommendations?

Do you guys have any horror movie recommendations?

I'm going to have a movie marathon with some friends and I want us to watch something we all haven't seen.

I mean the good kind though. None of that pg-13 teenybopper shit.

I like:
Let the Right One In --It's not really horror, more of a friendship movie with a sprinkle of horror hehe
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
Dawn of the Dead (both versions surprisingly)
Rec

Hmm can't think of any at the moment.

Please help! Thanks :D

P.S- you might get a treat for this...

I am not a horror movie kinda gal, they give me nightmares. But I do like Evil Dead cuz its funny! and when I was younger, I actually liked the plot to the movie Wax Works (I've only seen the original, so if there are sequals, I have no idea). I liked that it had a plot and was gross. IDK if thats a teenie bopper one or not since I'm not good with those. But good luck!

Oh Sweet Goodness my head is reeling...there are so many that my mind has come to a screeching halt. hehe :)

Anywhozit, it would be helpful if you could list some of the movies that you and your friends have *already* seen. That would make it easier to narrow it down.

Old films - Halloween(original), The Thing (the one with Kurt Russell), Salem's Lot (1979 version - scared the crap out of me as a kid), The Omen(orginal), The Ring (original), Friday the 13th (original but the remake is not bad), Poltergeist (but not that scary), The Exorcist, The Entity (more of a drama than horror), Amityville Horror (original but remake is good), Carrie, The Evil Dead, The SHinning, American werewolf in london, The changling, Christine, Children of the Corn (just the first one), The Hitcher (with rutcher hauer), Tremors, Gremlins, Near Dark and all the 'of the dead' films are good.

Recent films - Shaun of the Dead (more comedy than horror), Ginger Snaps, Saw, Quarantine (remake of rec), Blair witch project, The Eye (original), Frailty (again more of a drama/thriller but good), Texas Chain saw massacre (both versions are good), 30 Days of Night (love this!), From dusk til dawn, jeepers creeprs, The exorcism of emily rose, The hills have eyes (remake), Pulse, Pitch Black, Kalifornia, My little eye, Resident evil films, slither(with Nathan fillon), when a stranger calls (remake)

ooh sorry - got a bit carried away but I hope it helps:)

The Lost Boys. Hands down. Awesome 80s vampire movie.

Session 9 is really good. Psychological horror. The Exorcist, the original Poltergeist.

High Tension (Horror Thriller - Dubbed) - Dead Snow (Zombie/Horror - IFC Film DVD at blockbuster you can get it dubbed if you watch it on IFC on-demand you'll have to read the subtitles), Zombieland and Fido - (Comedy/Zombie)...Paranormal activity somewhat creepy. Cabin Fever decent just don't go past this one the next is bad.

I'm not into straight-up horror that much, but if "thriller" is good enough, then Se7en or Silence of the Lambs are both legitimately good movies in their own right. If you're looking for silly-horror, then Killer Klowns From Outer Space. I'm also a fan of Planet Terror from Grindhouse.

Not sure what kind of horror you want but you could try some movies that are based on Stephen King's novels. Carrie and The Shining! :)

You might try Jinni http://www.jinni.com You can look for more movies like one of your favorites, or search for something like "friendship, horror" (which brings up Let the Right One In, among others).

Speaking of Stephen King, I'd also throw Cujo into the mix, and Pet Cemetery (go for both). Oh, and Salem's Lot. Oh, oh, and Needful Things. Oh, and Desperation. Let me just stop now. LOL

Oh, just had to add Sleepwalkers! It's not super scary, but it is creepy...especially the scene with all the cats running.
