In My Mailbox ---ahh this dress was made for me!

Thanks to The Story Siren and Alea for IMM! :)

This past week I got:

This dress at JC Penny for less than $8 bucks! It's SO pretty!!! It's by I Heart Ronson and it's lavender colored. Has adorable flowers and comes with a really cute belt. I love it! I got a few more things including an adorable black skirt and this cute floral shirt.

Stoner and Spaz by Ron Koertge at Half Price Book Store for $2 bucks!
For sixteen-year-old Ben Bancroft — a kid with cerebral palsy, no parents, and an overprotective grandmother — the closest thing to happiness is hunkering alone in the back of the Rialto Theatre and watching Bride of Frankenstein for the umpteenth time. The last person he wants to run into is drugged-up Colleen Minou, resplendent in ripped tights, neon miniskirt, and an impressive array of tattoos. But when Colleen climbs into the seat beside him and rests a woozy head on his shoulder, Ben has that unmistakable feeling that his life is about to change. With unsparing humor and a keen flair for dialogue, Ron Koertge captures the rare repartee between two lonely teenagers on opposite sides of the social divide. His smart, self-deprecating protagonist learns that kindred spirits may be found for the looking — and that the resolve to follow your passion can be strengthened by something as simple as a human touch.

I HAD to buy Six Feet Under at Amazon. It was on sale for $60 bucks! Sigh. I love Michael C. Hall and man I cannot wait for Dexter's complete series to be released! Whenever that may be :) Season 5 is soooo long from now :'(

Wherever Nina Lies by Lynn Weingarten--For review. Started reading it and am enjoying it so far. :)

Nina was beautiful, wild, and adored by her younger sister, Ellie. But one day, Nina disappeared. 2 years later, everyone has given up hope that Nina will return, but Ellie knows her sister is out there. If only Ellie had a clue where to look. Then she gets one, in the form of a mysterious drawing. Determined to find Nina, Ellie takes off on a crazy, sexy cross-country road trip with the only person who believes she's got a chance - her hot, adventurous new crush. Along the way, Ellie finds a few things she wasn't planning on. Like love. Lies. And the most shocking thing of all: the truth.

The book contains interior black-and-white illustrations, since the sister's drawings play a crucial role in the story.

Me & Emma by Elizabeth Flock--heard to much about it so I had to buy it at The Book Depository.

In many ways, Carrie Parker is like any other eight-year-old--playing make-believe, dreading school, dreaming of faraway places.

But even her imagination can't shut out the realities of her impoverished North Carolina home or help her protect her younger sister, Emma.

As the big sister, Carrie is determined to do anything to keep Emma safe from a life of neglect and abuse at the hands of their drunken stepfather, Richard--abuse their momma can't seem to see, let alone stop.

But after the sisters' plan to run away from home unravels, their world takes a shocking turn--and one shattering moment ultimately reveals a truth that leaves everyone reeling.
