Release Date: March 2009
*warning* May contain spoilers since this is the fifth book in a series.
Thoughts:
I didn't finish it. It was too stupid and such a waste of time. If you're curious about it (like I was) just support your local library by checking it out. It's not worth anyone's money, or time for that matter. I really want that hour or so of my life back.
When I was reading it I thought "okay, it's slow, but maybe it'll get better." It never did, well if it did, it took too long. I read maybe 3/4 of it and the whole time it's extremely slow and pointless. Basically that 3/4 of the book is only the main folks being underground complaining about what's going on above ground and being all scared. Sure they're thinking about what to do but geez, who cares about all that? Nothing new happens at all. I'm sure that near the last ten pages something suspenseful happens like with the endings of all the previous books (those half-a**ed cliff hangers!). The ending also probably contained something new. That is not enough for me to care. I officially give up this series.
The main reason for that is not just because it's pointless but because the authors obviously don't care about the story, their characters, and their readers. They know they had an interesting series, but they got cocky because they were on the bestselling list for a while. Now they're just milking this for all is worth, which is pathetic. Sorry but I don't appreciate that at all. I hate fillers more than I hate pointless tree killing which I really, really hate.
Edit:
Just to make it clear, yes I have read the previous books.

I really appreciate your honest review! It's refreshing to read something so "brutal" sometimes.
I have only read the two first books in this series, I didn't like the first one that much, but I felt that the second one got much better. I'll borrow the following books from the library, and see what I feel after reading those! There really isn't any reason to keep on reading a book series you don't like, that's just a wast of time!

I agree -- it's refreshing to read a brutally honest, scathing review once in a while. :-)
lol thats what you get for readinqq books lol jk
I think the reason why you didn't like it is because you have to read the books in order (Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted, Tempted, (and soon to be) Burned). The reason why they were hiding was because they were hiding from Kalona (an evil god) and Neferet (Former high priestess to Nyx) and his children (the Raven Mockers). Like I said before, you have to read the books in order to get what's going on in the 5th book.

Thanks for commenting but yeah, I read the other books all of them in order. That's why I'm saying I'm officially dropping this series. I do not need to have the whole story repeated to me in one book. I want the continuation of the series not a whole unnecessary recap.
Well whatever! your just a hater. The whole series is friggin` awesome so why don` you just take a chance with them?
@Anonymous November 9
I did give them a chance. I read this one and the ones before.
