Synopsis:
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along.
With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

Thoughts:
You will lose sleep over this book. Yes, it was that entertaining. What I loved the most was Patch. Second, the love story. Aww so cute! Third, the mystery. Who did the deed?
Again, we have another case of the back cover of the book being semi-stupid. It makes you think the story is about something else and that's just not it. For the most part anyway.
Without spoilers what basically happens is girl meets new guy, ehem, new hot guy. Hot guy is somewhat of a pervert, totally mysterious, tall, muscular -oops getting distracted- he also knows things about Nora he should definitely not know. Then there's the whole someone is stalking her deal. Creepy! There is a mystery throughout the book, danger, murder, fires, and thrown in one super adorable love story. Read it.
Okay that was what I loved. The following is what I did not particularly fancy.
The characters could have been developed more especially the antagonists. I would have especially loved more information about Patch and his background. Whenever it's revealed, we only get a glimpse. It somewhat seems as if we'll get more, yet we only get a bit of info.
I was not a huge fan of Nora. She wasn't very independent or smart sometimes. Most times she seemed totally dependent on Patch, "Where's Patch? I'll do this and that, then Patch will save me." Those aren't actual quotes but you get the gist. That was pretty weak in my opinion. Then again, what's the point of being a damsel in distress if you can't be saved by a hot guy, right? hehe That's usually how it's done, but it doesn't mean I have to love it. It would be really cool if she were very independednt, but just needed some help, not needed to have everything done for her.
Another thing I didn't like was that at times Nora acted in a really odd or even stupid way. She felt that someone was scary, yet, she still went alone with him to places or didn't immediately leave when alone with him. That's hormones for you though, but under the circumstances and considering what was happening to her, she should have known better. Sometimes I just thought, "What the heck is wrong with you?!" At times, she was just kind of asking for trouble I must say. But maybe that's just me.
That whole problem though doesn't take away from how cute the story is overall. It is really entertaining and enjoyable so I most definitely recommend it. The holidays are coming up and this would make a really good gift! ;)
The ending.
Oh man I adored it! Just like a cute romantic movie. L-o-v-e-d it! I awed a little too many times after finishing the book.
