JumpStart Review and Giveaway

Review:
First off, JumpStart is an online game aimed for kids ages 3-10 years old. Honestly it's not just for kids, I'm 18 and I had a lot of fun playing it. :) It's so fun! It reminds me of those Super Mario days. Sigh. I mean the nintendo 64 days btw. Anywho, this game is really fun. My 6 year old cousin and his older 13 Twilight obsessed sister (HEAVY sigh) played it and LOVED it. Um, they love it a little too much I'm seriously worried they play it too much. Thankfully their mom makes sure they actually take a break from it. It's that fun for them. :)
In the game you get to pick out clothes, hairdo, shoes and such for your player then you are transported into a world where you can do a series of activities where they can problem solve and discover tons of fun things. The little player has tons of freedom which I know first hand is a huge issue in some video games. Yeah video games are completely different from online games, but not by much really. The graphics are really colorful and cute so it just adds more to it. What I didn't like was that there were certain areas where you had to jump but you could only jump in a certain direction. That really annoyed me but apparently it didn't annoy the little 6 year old. His birthday's coming up btw. What he liked the most was when his player found treasure boxes. The player rubs its hands together in anticipation of the coins that will be inside the treasure chest. My cousin actually does it as he watches it happen on the screen. It's SO cute! I wish I had taken a picture. Sorry, didn't think of it. He said he also really likes it when he gets to kill pom poms which are apparently these creatures you have to stomp on. Oh by the way it's also really cool when the player jumps up in the air. I loved that. It even does these little tricks. The Twilight obsessed dork loved that the most and also the swiming bit.
This game is pretty darn fun and enjoyable, not only that but it actually helps the kiddies learn. I recommend it for them especially for that reason. :)
There's also a Jump Start blog where the parents can talk to each other and ask questions about the game like where to find certain things in case the kiddies get stuck. So that's pretty neat too.
